It’s time again for us to come together again to learn and share with each other! SWIF will be hosting a training for fund partners on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Prairie’s Edge Casino in Granite Falls. An inspiring and motivational day is planned with a strong focus on planned gifts. This will be a great opportunity for your board members to learn how you can grow your funds through wills, bequest and assets other than cash. More details and registration information will be forthcoming, but here’s a sneak peek at what to expect:
- Keynote address by Dana Holt, creator of Turning Wealth into what Matters. Dana’s address, “Uncovering the Opportunity,” will focus on the enormous opportunity that lies in fundraising from wealth, not just cash. Dana will also be doing an afternoon breakout session entitled “Cows + Pigs + Chickens, OH MY! Gifts of Agricultural Assets.”
- Hear from a panel of donors who have made giving to a community foundation part of their estate plans.
- Lunch speaker Mike Kutzke will give a lively and humorous presentation on “Adding Value: The Impact of Communication.”
- We’ll have a variety of afternoon breakout sessions you can choose from.
This is required training event for fund partners, and I hope each advisory board will have as many board members as possible in attendance. Please take a moment today to mark your calendars and set aside this date. Thank you in advance for making attendance at this event a priority for your board!
