We support the growth and success of nonprofits that serve our region, and this page offers resources for training, leadership development and funding. By working together, we can build a more equitable and inclusive southwest Minnesota where all communities have what they need to thrive.
Strong nonprofits are essential to a thriving region where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. From healthcare access and education to food security and social support, southwest Minnesota’s nonprofits form the foundation for vibrant and welcoming communities.
Training Resources
We host workshops and training courses designed to help you develop your skills and knowledge. These resources cover a wide range of topics relevant to nonprofit leadership and management. For more information contact Amy Brustuen at (320) 552-2331 or [email protected].
Upcoming Training: Navigating the Currents, Charting the Course
Nonprofit partners and our fund partner affiliates are invited to join us for a day of inspiration and connection on Wednesday, April 9, at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, Morton. Learn about about the state of nonprofits in our region, hear from national speaker Dr. Terry Wu about the importance of collaboration, and attend valuable breakout sessions that will help build your skills in the workplace or on an advisory board. There is no cost to attend; a light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
Grant Resources
Grantmaking is at the heart of our role as a community foundation. We accept grant ideas on an ongoing basis as well as providing defined grant rounds throughout the year. Our grants are open to nonprofit organizations, schools, government agencies and projects that use one of these entities as a fiscal partner.
