Our microloan program supports small businesses of all kinds—ag, manufacturing, service, retail. Last year, we worked with Anna Knott as part of a regional funding package to purchase the Brau Haus restaurant in Lucan.
Anna had worked there for nearly seven years, including as general manager for two. She holds a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Alexandria Technical and Community College. And, another fun connection–her mom Donna Christensen has been the kitchen manager since it first opened over 20 years ago.
Now called Knott’s Corner, this Lucan restaurant continues with great food and service. We’re excited to see another young entrepreneur bringing together experience, education and a passion for her business!
