Rhoda Hubbard has spent 25 years working with youth, both in residential treatment and as a classroom teacher. This is Rhoda’s fourth year as part of the REACH team and believes it represents the core of what it means to be human: to know and be known, to love and be loved, understanding ourselves and others in order to participate in and experience life at its fullest. It is her hope to bring the REACH concept of creating a safe and caring place into every school in Minnesota.
The REACH Program is a model for academic intervention that provides students with social and emotional support to overcome personal obstacles. With an emphasis on accountability and hard work, REACH believes it is through this process of building relationships that students will be better able to achieve academically.
