
Scott manages the foundation’s business finance, entrepreneurship, child care, career pathways, Employer Resource Network, and general economic development programs and initiatives, in addition to having roles with farmland management and as staff liaison to the Investment Committee.
He is a board member and past chair of the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership, a member of the Blandin Foundation Broadband Strategy Board, a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Education and Certification Advisory Committee, a board member and the chair of the Loan and Fiscal Sponsorship Committee for Propel Nonprofits, Vice President of the Greater Minnesota Partnership, a board member of the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission, and a board member for the Minnesota Economic Development Foundation. He was recently appointed to a new Minnesota Child Care Licensing Workgroup.
Locally, Scott is President of the Montevideo Police Civil Service Commission and a member of the Montevideo Planning Commission. He is a past president of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota (EDAM) and currently serves as chair of the Government Relations Committee and as a member of the Conference Committee. He and his wife, Amber, are proud parents of Abby and Annie.
