Blanca Palma moved to Worthington from Mexico 21 years ago. Married and mom to five children, she is very involved in her children’s education, both at school and at home. Blanca has participated in Parents Advocating for Student Success (PASS) classes, works at JBS, and in her free time, she likes to spend time with her family or doing crafts.
Since 2006, Worthington has offered PASS classes to parents of youth in preschool through high school to help them become more comfortable and active in their child’s educational journey. These classes are offered over a seven-week period, in which parents gain a better understanding of the importance of their involvement with the school system and learn strategies for helping their children succeed in school.
