Health and Wellbeing
Medical
Choose from medical plans including a health savings account with prescription coverage and options to include spouse, domestic partner and/or children.
Dental
A dental plan is available with options to include spouse, domestic partner and/or children. The basic plan provides benefits for diagnostic, preventive and basic care. The comprehensive plan provides basic coverage as well as more extensive dental care, including orthodontia for children.
Vision
Our vision insurance plan offers comprehensive coverage for employees and their families, including options to include spouses, domestic partners and children. The basic plan provides benefits for routine eye exams, preventive care and essential vision services. For those seeking more extensive coverage, our comprehensive vision plan includes additional benefits, encompassing prescription eyewear, contact lenses and specialized eye care services.
Tax Advantage Accounts
Accounts are available that offer a tax-effective way to pay eligible out-of-pocket health care and/or dependent care expenses.
My Health Rewards Wellness Program
To help you succeed in achieving improved health and wellbeing, Medica Invest is a program that allows employees to earn HSA funds from Medica for practicing healthy behaviors 20 times a month. When you meet three wellness goals for sleep, activity and nutrition, you’ll get rewarded with health savings account dollars.
Virtual Care
Receive easy access to comprehensive, high-quality virtual care including telehealth, dermatology, behavioral health, back care and expert medical service all through online treatment.
Wellbeing Spending Account
Our wellbeing mission is to provide opportunities for employees to develop healthier lifestyles by supporting habits and attitudes that contribute to their wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Spending Account (WSA) supports each employee’s preferred wellbeing activities and practices by providing all regular, full-time employees $100 per month to be used on wellbeing-approved expenses.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP provides anonymous support and resources to help find answers to questions related to work, life, health, family or money. It’s available 24/7 at no cost to the employee, their family members and anyone significant to the employee.
Income Protection
Basic Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
We provide $50,000 in death benefit coverage per employee for Basic Term Life and $50,000 for AD&D. In addition, employee dependent spouse receives $7,500 in death benefit and $4,000 per child ages six months or older and $1,000 under six months.
Voluntary Term Life Insurance
Purchase additional coverage for you, your spouse and your children in increments of $10,000 to $300,000, not to exceed five times your covered annual earnings.
Sort-Term Disability Leave
This coverage provides a reasonable replacement of monthly earnings to an individual who becomes disabled for a short period of time due to an accident or sickness.
Long-Term Disability
This coverage provides a reasonable replacement of monthly earnings to an individual who becomes disabled for an extended period of time due to an accident or sickness.
Group Accident Insurance
Group Accident Insurance helps cover unexpected expenses such as co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and includes benefits for initial care (ambulance, ER, Doctor’s Office visit, etc.), hospitalization, follow-up care, plus accidental death and dismemberment benefits.
Group Critical Care
This insurance helps employees and their families maintain financial security during the lengthy, expensive recovery period of a serious medical event such as a heart attack or stroke. It provides a lump sum benefit to help with the out-of-pocket medical and/or non-medical expenses of a critical illness.
Retirement
403(b) Retirement Plan
SWIF matches up to 5 percent of an employee’s contribution. Employees are 100 percent vested in the elective deferrals and in the earnings on deferrals. A Roth option is also available.
Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off
Regular full-time employees with 0 to 2 years of service receive 17 days per fiscal year, 2 to 5 years of service receive 20 days per fiscal year and over 5 years of service receive 26 days per fiscal year. Part-time employees who regularly work more than 24 hours per week are eligible to accrue PTO according to a pro-rated schedule.
Holidays
Regular full-time employees receive 11 paid holidays throughout the year.
Wellbeing Days
We celebrate, embrace, and highly value the diversity and wellbeing of our employees. Therefore, regular full-time employees of the foundation also receive two (2) wellbeing holidays per fiscal year to be used at the employee’s discretion. These wellbeing holidays can be used for religious or faith-based celebrations or observances, personal or family activities, birthdays, employee wellbeing activities or other activities that celebrate the diversity and/or enhance the wellbeing of our employees.
Volunteer Time Off
Volunteering can be fun and rewarding, as well as good for team building. We encourage employees to be involved in their communities and volunteer with programs that positively impact the quality of life within these communities. The foundation provides 8 hours of paid time off per calendar year for regular full-time employees and 4 hours of paid time off per calendar year for regular part-time employees to volunteer.
Bereavement Leave
We are committed to supporting employees as they manage the difficulties related to the loss of a family member. Bereavement leave is in addition to paid time off.
Court Time and Jury Duty
We recognize your legal and civic obligation to serve if called to jury duty or subpoenaed as a witness and provide paid leave if you are summoned for jury duty or required in writing to appear at any future court hearing.
Earned Sick and Safe Time
Every Foundation employee is eligible for sick and safe time off as provided by Minnesota law. Earned sick and safe time runs on a calendar year basis. Leave time is earned at the rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked up to 48 hours. You may carry over up to 80 hours at the end of any calendar year.
