It takes particular dedication to serve on the SWIF Board of Directors. As a rural, regional community foundation with donor services, programming and business lending, we are truly a unique organization. Not to mention, our role as a regional leader and voice for southwest Minnesota means no two days, weeks or even board meetings are alike.
Our board represents different communities and industries from throughout the region. They meet every-other month, each time in a different community in our region. Needless to say, our board puts on the miles to see our region’s businesses, organizations, communities and people firsthand—and you can see the difference this makes in their leadership and decisions.
At our June meeting in Litchfield, we took time to honor Connie VanDerBill Medin, who has served SWIF for two terms—the past six years! Retired from Kandiyohi Family Services and an active farmer and volunteer, Connie has provided great leadership and an important perspective. Most recently, she’s played a big role in helping shape Keep It Growing℠, SWIF’s farmland retention program. I have so enjoyed working with her. Thank you, Connie, for your commitment and dedication to SWIF. Connie truly can say she has had a positive impact on our southwest Minnesota regional community!
Our volunteer board represents the absolute best of southwest Minnesota—and they give their absolute best again and again for SWIF and our entire region. Our organization is in great hands!
