Personal and business accounting services offered by Bradley S. Shaffer, CPA, in Worthington
Bradley Shaffer recently received loan assistance from the Southwest Initiative Foundation’s (SWIF) Microenterprise Loan Program to open an accounting office, Bradley S. Shaffer, CPA, in Worthington. Shaffer will offer personal and business accounting services, as well as bookkeeping services at an affordable rate for small businesses.
Shaffer’s office is located at 225 9th St., Suite 3, in Worthington. Business hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by appointment. Shaffer can be reached at 507-343-0028.
“There are many small businesses in Worthington and throughout southwest Minnesota, all of which need accounting services at some level. I have the ability to offer those services and, as a one-person office, clients will always know that I am personally handling everything that comes into my office,” Shaffer said.
Shaffer gained valuable experience working for private businesses, other accountants and most recently as a corporate controller at Prairie Holdings Group. He is completing his Master’s Degree in accounting, is active in various community organizations and serves on the Worthington School Board.
“SWIF is excited to be a part of Brad’s newest venture,” SWIF Program Officer Kurt Thompson said. “With his previous experience, he will quickly become an active and important member of the Worthington business community.”
Proceeds from the loan will be used for working capital. SWIF’s Microenterprise Loan Program offers loans of up to $35,000 for starting or expanding for-profit small businesses located within the 18 counties of southwest Minnesota that have a need for additional sources of funds. In addition, technical assistance is available from SWIF as needed for the length of the loan. The program receives funding assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
