The Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF) is hosting a “Goodbye Hugs” reception honoring longtime President/CEO Sherry Ristau. The reception is open to the public and will be held Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crow River Winery, located on East Highway 7 near Hutchinson. This will be a come-and-go reception and include refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and a wine tasting.
Sherry announced her forthcoming resignation in June. She has been employed over 20 years at SWIF, including the last 17 as president/CEO. During this time, she has built many relationships with people who care deeply about rural Minnesota and support SWIF’s work. Donors, colleagues, community and business leaders and friends are invited to attend and connect with Sherry, staff and board.
Sherry accepted the position as new president & CEO of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, serving communities along the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities area of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa and Rock Island and Moline in Illinois. She and husband Bruce will be relocating to the Quad Cities and Sherry will begin her new role in September.
No need to RSVP, just join us to celebrate our visionary leader!
