Local sign and graphics business continues, adds logo design services
Samuel and Fawna Berger recently received loan assistance from the Southwest Initiative Foundation’s (SWIF) Microenterprise Loan Program to purchase R-Graphix, a sign and graphics business in Ortonville. R-Graphix is a one-stop shop for promotional materials, including yard, road, highway, building and vehicle signs, as well as banners and window decals.
The Bergers purchased R-Graphix from Randy Young, who started the business in 1994. Fawna Berger has sales, production and creative experience in this industry and will add graphic and logo design services to the business. Delivery and installation services will also be offered for large projects.
“We are excited to be a part of the Ortonville business community and look forward to continue providing Ortonville with a great service,” Fawna Berger said.
The business will be operated out of Berger Welding, located at 740 US Highway 75 in Ortonville. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. R-Graphics can be reached at 320-839-3840.
“The Southwest Initiative Foundation is proud to be able to partner with Cenbank in Ortonville to help the Bergers purchase this business from Randy Young,” said Microenterprise Program Officer Kurt Thompson. “Fawna and Sam are committed to their community and have the experience and creativity to grow their new business.”
Proceeds from the loan will be used to purchase inventory. SWIF’s Microenterprise Loan Program offers loans of up to $35,000 for starting or expanding for-profit small businesses located within the 18 counties of southwest Minnesota that have a need for additional sources of funds. In addition, technical assistance is available from SWIF as needed for the length of the loan. The program receives funding assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
