From Program Officer Cheryl Glaeser
This year marked the first year of an unbelievable experience for 15 students from the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, New London-Spicer, and Willmar public school districts.
These students learned from local business owners what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur and were exposed to the Kandiyohi County area as a place of opportunity.
About a year ago, Southwest Initiative Foundation provided a grant to get Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities—or the CEO program going in Kandiyohi County.
Read about the program in this Connect article.Â
Students have visited over 45 businesses, heard from nearly 60 business leaders, and developed their own business plans. Wednesday, May 20, the public is invited to the Inaugural KCEO Trade Show from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the MinnWest Technology campus auditorium in Willmar.
I have the pleasure of serving on the KCEO board and am so excited for you to witness our next generation of business leaders in action!
