Our permanent resources allow us to respond to the region’s changing needs and opportunities, so our grant support and programming can make the greatest impact for people, businesses, entrepreneurs and communities.
We awarded nearly $1.2 million to nonprofits and organizations in our 18-county region during our fiscal year 2015.
We helped fund leadership and manufacturing conferences and trainings as well as workforce training programs and support for a small business development center.
We gave grants to help children have access to basic dental care and hygiene supplies and helped address barriers faced by immigrants.
We helped fund the arts such as the Barn Theatre as well as support school Lego League teams, robotics teams, the first Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities class and YES! Teams.
Through our affiliates, we helped fund community projects such as swimming pools and park renovations and through our designated and donor advised funds we helped provide books for summer reading programs, purchase school and health equipment and much more.
The word “we” is used extensively at Southwest Initiative Foundation because “we” couldn’t do the work unless the “we” included you. Thank you for supporting the Southwest Initiative Foundation and helping make a difference in our communities!
