Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF) invites southwest Minnesota child care providers, economic development professionals, community leaders and champions of child care to attend a listening session to learn about and provide feedback, ideas and concerns regarding the second draft of licensing standards for child care centers published by the Department of Human Services (DHS) as part of the Child Care Regulation Modernization Projects.

We’re hosting an online training on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. for people thinking about starting a nonprofit, those we are brand new to the sector, and nonprofits in the early stages of development. “To Be or Not to Be a 501(c)3 Nonprofit” will cover the basics of what a nonprofit is and isn’t, as well as things that should be considered before, during and after forming a new nonprofit. The training will also cover information on sustaining a nonprofit and keeping it healthy and thriving.

This listening session has been cancelled due to low registration numbers.
