Join the Southwest Initiative Foundation Giving Team and fellow advisory board members for a hands-on workshop to learn tips and tricks to writing an engaging year-end fundraising letter for your foundation. We’ll help you craft and edit your letter so that it’s ready to send to your donors. After the workshop, we’ll visit a project that was supported by local community foundation grant dollars. We’ll end our time together with an optional networking social.

Schedule:

• 1:00-2:30 PM – Year-end fundraising workshop
• 2:30-3:30 PM – Tour of the YES! House and site visit to Project IMPACT, Rice Park
• 3:30 PM – Optional networking social at Bluenose Gopher Public House (appetizers and beverages provided)

We recommended bringing the following materials and information to the workshop to ensure that our time together is valuable and productive:

• A copy of your foundation’s year-end appeal from last year (or your most recent fundraising letter)
• An idea of a theme or story you’d like to share with donors
• A picture you can feature in the letter (ex: your foundation’s advisory board, a grant recipient, recent event)
• A fundraising goal (ex: This year, our goal is to raise $10,000 to grow our endowment…)
• Laptop
• Your questions – we want to help!
