Grantmaking is one of the ways Southwest Initiative Foundation supports nonprofits, schools and communities in southwest Minnesota. In fact, in our 30-year history, we’ve awarded over $28 million in grants to support great projects throughout our region!
We currently have a number of competitive grant opportunities, including our Early Care and Education grant.
We’re offering grants of up to $5,000 for projects that will benefit kids and families in southwest Minnesota.
Areas of focus include:
- PreK-3rd Grade Alignment – enhancing the continuity and consistency of learning for children ages birth to 8
- Social and Emotional Development – systems-building through the development of education, trainings and programs which continue to have a far-reaching impact
- Early Care and Education – helping to increase access to and availability of high-quality early care and education environments
