HUTCHINSON, Minn.— Daniel Greve of Worthington has been elected to the Southwest Initiative Foundation Board of Directors.
Greve grew up in Worthington and has spent much of his career there. As a business executive for the past 20 years, he brings expertise in finance, human resources, governance and general operations. Greve is currently Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer at Prairie Holdings Group, a family of agricultural companies discovering and using the latest technological developments in the industry.
Greve’s career has introduced him to challenges like recruiting talent that our rural communities face, and he believes strongly in the foundation’s work of Grow Our Own.
“To thrive, we have to work together as a region to leverage our resources, both human and financial,” Greve said.
Greve has served on the boards for the Worthington Regional Economic Development Corporation and Worthington Area YMCA, where he was vice president and president during fundraising and construction of the new YMCA facility. He served on Southwest Initiative Foundation’s loan advisory committee and participated in the career pathways work group connected to the foundation’s grant from Twin Cities United Way. Greve has also supported the Worthington Area Foundation, one of Southwest Initiative Foundation’s 28 local affiliates.
“Dan’s corporate leadership experience will help guide us as we continue to build on-ramps to successful careers and develop our workforce in the face of child care shortages and other challenges. He cares about our region and our kids, and we’re happy to engage his skills and passion,” said Diana Anderson, Southwest Initiative Foundation President and CEO.
The Southwest Initiative Foundation board of directors is a governing board that ensures the organization fulfills its mission of connecting people, investing in ideas and building communities in southwest Minnesota. The board sets strategy, manages resources and promotes the foundation’s work.
