We support the growth and success of nonprofits that serve our region, and this page offers resources for training, leadership development and funding. By working together, we can build a more equitable and inclusive southwest Minnesota where all communities have what they need to thrive.
Strong nonprofits are essential to a thriving region where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. From healthcare access and education to food security and social support, southwest Minnesota’s nonprofits form the foundation for vibrant and welcoming communities.
Training Resources
We host workshops and training courses designed to help you develop your skills and knowledge. These resources cover a wide range of topics relevant to nonprofit leadership and management.
Leaders Circles®
In partnership with Propel Nonprofits, we work with leaders to help you access your best thinking, build productive relationships, and navigate change effectively. Leaders Circles® create the environment that allows you to confidentially discuss challenges and ideas, test ideas before “taking them public,” identify solutions to challenging situations and network with others who face similar issues. Circles are composed of 5-7 leaders at similar points on their leadership journeys who commit to participate for one year. Circles meet once monthly during the workday, for up to 2.5 hours. A trained, experienced coach works with each group.

Grant Resources
Grantmaking is at the heart of our role as a community foundation. We accept grant ideas on an ongoing basis as well as providing defined grant rounds throughout the year. Our grants are open to nonprofit organizations, schools, government agencies and projects that use one of these entities as a fiscal partner.
