The beginning of a New Year is the perfect time to rejuvenate and find new inspiration to do better—at work, at home, with health, or whatever is important to you. I’ve had a number of great experiences over the past couple of weeks that have been a source of inspiration.
Last week I was reminded what an honor it is to represent rural philanthropy and the field of community foundations while attending the Minnesota Council on Foundation’s Annual Meeting. MCF did an excellent job of bringing partners from throughout the state together to hear critical messages and continue important conversations about the role of foundations in our communities and state.
Keynote speaker Vikki Spruill, President and CEO of the national Council on Foundations, set the tone for us to continue innovative work to make sure people have ways to give back and support important causes. It’s exciting to see her leadership and enthusiasm for making all foundations better transfer to others—from those of us on the COF Board of Directors, to member organizations, to other partners in the field.
What have you found as inspiration as we prepare to wrap up the first month of 2013?
