SWIF believes in empowering community members to follow their dreams. One way of doing this is through SWIF’s microloan program where recipients receive up to $50,000 through a business loan as well as education on the loan process and assistance with finances, training, marketing and more.
One such recipient is Allen Tonak ofAllen’s Country Bakery in Appleton. Allen had always wanted to open a bakery, and with the help of SWIF he was able to realize his dream. Six months prior to his Spring 2016 opening, Allen worked with SWIF to ensure he’d get started on the right foot.
An incredibly resourceful entrepreneur, Allen receives a lot of support from his community, where he is well known for his breads and buns. Allen also provided the 700 cupcakes SWIF gave out at Farmfest, and they were delicious!
