Few things are as inspiring as seeing something real blossom from the seeds of an idea.
Our December 15 Grow Our Summit was the largest event ever put together by SWIF, and it garnered more than 500 attendees.
Working collaboratively, we will see the fruits of our labor and we know that committed community members are helping southwest Minnesota kids thrive and reach their full potential.
In Redwood Falls, the Redwood Area Youth Foundation has kicked off a program accepting donations to help pay off the student lunch account balances for all local school district students with a past due balance.
Small but mighty actions like this can change the lives of our kids.
Responses from the press about the event were glowing. Through social media, SWIF has reached more than 3,000 people.
Furthermore, the Summit was featured on MinnPost and on the front pages of the Hutchinson Leader, the Marshall Independent, the West Central Tribune and the Worthington Daily Globe. Thanks to these papers, news of the Summit reached over 100,491 people in our region.
The Summit allowed attendees to gather resources from YouthBuild USA, Working Bridges, American Progress and more–all available on our site so that those who weren’t able to attend still will have access to the information.
Outreach on this scale will truly allow our message to reach all corners of our region. Check out how you can be a part of this change here.
