Promote Productive Aging

In Fiscal Year 2004, the Southwest Minnesota Foundation awarded 15 grants totaling nearly $166,000 to projects that maximize the social and economic contributions of seniors.

Nearly all of the Foundations grant funds for "Productive Aging" come from the Paul & Alma Schwan Aging Trust Fund, a component fund that promotes productive aging by providing regional leadership, technical assistance, and financial support to projects that engage seniors in community life and capitalize on seniors as a resource.
