I had opportunity to be board chairman during the 25th anniversary when we sponsored quite a number of gatherings around the region, of which I attended every one. Being a fourth generation farmer, I saw how some communities grew and some struggled: I realized that for us to thrive we needed citizens to work together to “keep the lights on.” I was proud to have been on the loan committee to sometimes give a little push to help make that happen. Congratulations on 40 years!
