Southwest Minnesota companies send their products all over the world—and they’re often products that we use or see around us every day!
Jonti-Craft, Inc. in Wabasso—owned by Don and Cathy Schwarz—is a leading manufacturer of children’s furniture. They have over 3,500 products that are found in classrooms, waiting areas, child care settings and play rooms—as well as in homes. They design and manufacture tables, shelves, chairs, easels, and even light-up tablets.
Jonti-Craft was one of Southwest Initiative Foundation’s very early loan clients in the late 1980s and more recent loans have helped them purchase new equipment.
Their reps were recently featured in a White House press conference call talking about manufacturing, international trade and exports. It’s exciting to see homegrown, family companies like this succeeding in our region—and being major players in our global economy.
