Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors across our region and beyond, Southwest Initiative Foundation and our affiliates raised over $48,000 on Give to the Max Day, Thursday, Nov. 13.
WOW! We are blown away by this outpouring of support for our rural communities!
This placed us at #33 on the statewide leaderboard. We’re excited to add to this total our special Southwest Initiative Foundation incentive prizes–$2,500 for most number of gifts and $2,500 for most dollars raised–that we offered to our community foundation affiliate endowments.
BIO Legacy (Bird Island-Olivia Community Foundation) raised $29,915 and took the prize for most dollars raised.
There was a tie for first place in the most number of gifts category. Clarkfield Area Community Foundation and Montevideo Area Community Foundation tied with 35 gifts each. Rather than split the $2,500 prize, SWIF will award an additional $2,500 prize and give both Clarkfield and Montevideo $2,500. In all, SWIF will award $7,500 to its community foundation affiliates. Check the full list for the dollars raised and number of gifts given.
Let’s celebrate what the $18 million means for ALL Minnesota nonprofits and schools! Thank you, GiveMN.org donors!
