The Paul and Alma Schwan Aging Trust Fund is a designated fund of the Southwest Initiative Foundation. It was established in 1990-1991 with a generous gift from Marvin Schwan in honor of his parents. He endowed the fund to help communities prepare for and respond to the opportunities and challenges of an aging rural society.
Southwest Initiative Foundation has used this resource to support programs like Productive Aging, Inter generational Dialog, Senior College, Parish Nursing and Honor Flight Southwest Minnesota.
Today, this fund helps support our work around Encore Entrepreneurship and Planned Giving.
The Southwest Initiative Foundation is not currently accepting grant applications for the Paul and Alma Schwan Aging Trust Fund.
