“Shining a Light on Memory Loss” is a radio show sponsored by the Benson Area Memory Loss Network and aired locally on the on KSCR 93.5 FM.
Through discussions with local professionals, the show aims to help you and your family better understand dementia—a topic that touches everyone in the community in some way. This six-part series will air the first and third Saturdays of March, April and May from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Shining a Light on Memory Loss is hosted and directed by Laura Thomas, Director of Aging Well at Prairie Five Community Action Council, Inc. Laura’s role is funded by a multi-year grant from the Paul and Alma Schwan Aging Trust Endowment Fund at Southwest Initiative Foundation. Older adults are the foundation of vibrant and welcoming communities in our region, and the Aging Trust Fund maximizes the social and economic contributions of elders throughout southwest Minnesota by keeping them well and engaged in community life.
