Southwest Minnesota Students Join for Summit and Career Expo
The Youth Energy Summit (YES!) has begun another year of energy action projects and experiential learning.
Earlier this fall, the 2010-2011 YES! “season” officially got underway with the YES! Fall Summit & Career Expo, held at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
At the Summit, students learned about energy opportunities and issues and began planning for their energy action projects.
The Career Expo helped build student awareness of career and economic opportunities in the clean energy industry and connected YES! teams with businesses, organizations, and other resources as they plan their energy action projects.
Thirteen teams totaling 75 students were in attendance for the day’s events. The high level of engagement and enthusiasm throughout the day made the event a great experience.
YES! also recently launched their brand-new website. Be sure to check it out for all the latest YES! news.
